Interview conducted by Larry Ritter for use in his book "The Glory of their times : the story of the early days of baseball told by the men who played it". Sam Crawford discusses, playing with teammates Rube Waddell and Ty Cobb, as well as playing with deaf teammate Dummy Hoy. He speaks about hitting against Walter Johnson, his days as an umpire, playing baseball throughout his childhood, and how he got started in professional baseball.
